昭宗幸洛陽，加同平章事。 When Emperor Zhaozong came to Luoyang, Ding Hui was made a joint manager of government affairs.

其年，昭宗遇弑，哀問至，會三軍縞素，流涕久之。 That same year, when word came that Zhaozong had been murdered, Ding Hui's whole army put on white mourning and wept for a long while.
