尊母蕭氏為皇太后，立皇后蕭氏。 He raised his mother of the Xiao clan to Empress Dowager and crowned an Empress Xiao.

北宰相蕭轄剌、南宰相耶律歐裏思率群臣上尊號曰天皇帝，後曰地皇后。 Northern Chancellor Xiao Xialage and Southern Chancellor Yelü Oulisi, at the head of the court, presented the elevated titles Heavenly Emperor for him and Earth Empress for her.

四年秋七月戊子朔，以后兄蕭敵魯為北府宰相。 On the wuzi new moon of the fourth year's seventh autumn month he named the Empress's elder brother Xiao Dilu Northern Chancellor.

后族為相自此始。 Thus began the custom of appointing the Empress's kin as chancellor.
