十五年，以孝穆皇后、孝慎皇后梓宮奉安龍泉峪，諏日不慎，罷尚書、都統，仍充內務府大臣。 In Daoguang 15 (1835), after an ill-chosen date for entombing Empresses Xiaomu and Xiaoshen at Longquan Valley, he lost his posts as minister and banner commander but kept his Imperial Household portfolio.
