孝昌元年，北邊擾亂，奔雲中，為刺史費穆送於尒朱榮。 In the first year of Xiaochang, when the northern frontier fell into disorder, he fled to Yunzhong and was sent by Inspector Fei Mu to Erzhu Rong.

以軍主隨榮入洛。 As an army commander, he followed Erzhu Rong into Luoyang.
