契丹犯塞，漁陽路梗，震率師運糧，三入薊門，擢為河北道副招討，遙領宣州節度使，代房知溫軍於盧台。 When the Khitan raided the frontier and the road to Yuyang was cut, Wu Zhen led grain convoys through Jimen three times. He was promoted to deputy Hebei campaign commissioner, given titular command of Xuanzhou, and sent to replace Fang Zhiwen at Lutai.
