吾雖寡德，過蒙先帝列將之授，以數郡之人，尚欲併吞強虜，是以自頃迄今，交鋒接刃，一時務農，三時用武，而猶師徒不頓，倉有餘粟，敵人日畏，我境日廣，況乃王者之威，堂堂之勢，豈可同年而語哉！ I am little in virtue, yet the former emperor made me a column commander; with several commanderies I still mean to swallow strong foes. From lately until now I farm one season and fight three, yet my armies do not fail, my granaries hold surplus, the enemy daily fears us and our borders widen daily; how much more the majesty of a king and stately power, how can these be compared!
