次子定遠，少歷顯職，外戚中偏為武成愛狎。 The second son Dingyuan, from youth, held prominent posts; among the imperial kin he was especially favored and intimate with Gao Zhan.

武成大漸，與趙郡王等同受顧命，位司空。 As Wucheng grew gravely ill, Dingyuan together with the Prince of Zhao Commandery Rui and others received the final testament; Dingyuan was made minister of works.
