光武遣吳漢誅更始幽州牧苗曾，乃拜浮為大將軍幽州牧，守薊城，遂討定北邊。 Guangwu dispatched Wu Han to put to death Miao Zeng, whom the Gengshi Emperor had placed over Youzhou; Zhu Fu was then named Grand General and governor of Youzhou, held Ji, and brought the northern border under control.
