江南行台治書侍御史苟宗道，聞而韙之，舉其名上聞，除同知桂陽路總管府事。 Gou Zongdao, investigating censor on the Jiangnan Branch Censorate, heard of his work and approved, reporting his name to the throne. Mengjie was appointed associate administrator of the Guiyang circuit intendant's office.
