三十六年，師徵金川，授定邊右副將軍，以侍郎桂林佐之，共討賊。 In the thirty-sixth year the army campaigned against Jinchuan; he was appointed Pacification Commissioner on the Right with Vice Minister Guilin as his deputy to campaign against the rebels.

溫福自汶川出西路，桂林自打箭爐出南路。 Wen Fu advanced by the western route from Wenchuan; Guilin advanced by the southern route from Dajianlu.
