太祖北征，至澶州，為諸軍擁迫，峻與王殷在京聞變，乃遣侍衛馬軍都指揮使郭崇往宋州，前申州刺史馬鐸往許州，以防他變，二州安然，亦峻之謀也。 When Guo Wei marched north and reached Chanzhou, the armies pressed him to take the throne. Jun and Wang Yin, hearing the news in the capital, dispatched Palace Guard cavalry commander Guo Chong to Songzhou and the former prefect of Shen, Ma Duo, to Xuzhou to forestall any other upheaval. Both prefectures stayed calm—another stroke planned by Jun.

隱帝與李業等謀，已殺史弘肇等，詔鎮寧軍節度使李弘義殺侍衛步軍指揮使王殷於澶州，又詔侍衛馬軍指揮使郭崇殺威及宣徽使王峻於魏。 The Hidden Emperor and Li Ye had already struck down Shi Hongzhao and his allies. He now ordered Li Hongyi of Zhenning to murder Wang Yin, foot commander of the Palace Guard, at Chanzhou, and Guo Chong, horse commander, to kill Wei and Wang Jun, commissioner of the Palace Secretariat, at Wei prefecture.

王峻遣郭崇以騎七百逆劉赟於宋州，殺之，其將鞏廷美、楊溫為赟守徐州。 Wang Jun dispatched Guo Chong with seven hundred cavalry to cut off Liu Yun at Songzhou and kill him. Yun’s officers Gong Tingmei and Yang Wen still defended Xuzhou in his name.

赟行至宋州，太祖自澶州為兵士擁還京師，王峻慮赟左右生變，遣侍衛馬軍指揮使郭崇以兵七百騎衛赟。 As Yun traveled to Songzhou, Taizu from Chanzhou was forced back to the capital by soldiers; Wang Jun sent Guo Chong with seven hundred horse to guard Yun.

崇至宋州，赟登樓問崇所以來之意，崇曰：「澶州軍變，懼未察之，遣崇護衛，非惡意也。」 Chong came; Yun asked why; Chong said Chanzhou had mutinied and he came to protect him, not harm him.

赟召崇，崇不敢進，馮道出與崇語，崇乃登樓見赟，已而奪赟部下兵。 Yun called him up; Chong hesitated until Feng Dao spoke with him; then he entered—and disarmed Yun’s men.

道已去，郭崇幽赟於外館，殺賈正及判官董裔、牙內都虞候劉福、孔目官夏昭度等。 Dao gone, Chong imprisoned Yun and killed Jia Zheng, Dong Yi, Liu Fu, Xia Zhaodu, and others.
