四年，偕郭松林援福建，攻烏頭門賊壘，复漳州，授江蘇蘇松鎮總兵。 In 1865 he joined Guo Songlin in Fujian, took the rebel stronghold at Wutou Gate, recovered Zhangzhou, and was made major general of the Jiangsu Susong garrison.
