其尚書韓𧨳上疏曰：「二寇逋誅，國恥未雪，關西為豺鋃之藪，楊越為鴟鴞之林，三京社稷，鞠為丘墟，四祖園陵，蕪而不守，豈非義夫憤歎之日，烈士忘身之秋。 His minister Han Fan submitted a memorial saying, 'The two bandits roam unpunished, national shame is not washed away; west of the pass is a den of wolves, Yang and Yue are a forest of owls; the three capitals' altars have become mounds, the four ancestors' mausoleums lie weed-choked and undefended—is this not the day for righteous men to sigh and for knights to forget their bodies.
