未幾，鈞侍衛都指揮使蔚進、馬軍都指揮使郝貴超與契丹悉兵來救樂平，三戰皆敗之。 Soon Jun's palace guard commander Wei Jin, horse-army commander Hao Guichao, and the Khitans threw their full strength into relieving Leping—and lost three battles in a row.

乾德二年二月，李繼勳與兵馬鈐轄康延沼、馬步軍都軍頭尹訓率兵攻遼州，鈞遣郝貴超來援，戰於城下，大敗。 In the second month of Qiande 2, Li Jixun, horse-and-army controller Kang Yanzhao, and combined-forces commander Yin Xun attacked Liaozhou. Jun sent Hao Guichao to relieve the city; the battle below the walls ended in a rout.
