會侯景舉河南來附，遣使請援，朝議將應之，乃徵為隴右大都督、秦南等十五州諸軍事、秦州刺史。 When Hou Jing surrendered Henan and came over, sending envoys to request aid, the court debated responding; Yuwen Dao was then summoned as chief commander of Longyou, commander of all military affairs in fifteen provinces including Qinnan, and governor of Qin Province.
