征北姚恢棄安定，率戶五千奔新平，安定人胡儼、華韜等率眾距恢，恢單騎歸長安。 Yao Hui quit Anding with five thousand households for Xinping; Anding men Hu Yan and Hua Tao blocked him, and he galloped alone back to Chang'an.

立節彌姐成、建武裴岐為儼所殺，鎮西姚諶委鎮東走。 Mijie Cheng and Pei Qi died fighting Hu Yan; Yao Chen abandoned his post and ran east.

軍次橫水，勃勃退保安定，胡儼閉門距之，殺鮮卑數千人，據安定以降。 At Hengshui Bobo pulled back to Anding; Hu Yan shut the gates, killed thousands of Xianbei, and handed the city over.
