段氏，隆興霍榮妻也。 Lady Duan was the wife of Huo Rong of Longxing.

榮無子，嘗乞人為養子。 Rong had no son and once begged for someone to be adopted as his heir.

榮卒，段氏年二十六，養舅姑以孝稱。 When Rong died Duan was twenty-six. She supported her parents-in-law and was famed for filial devotion.

舅姑歿，榮諸父仲汶貪其產，謂段曰：「汝子假子也，可令歸宗。 When her parents-in-law died Rong's paternal uncle Zhongwen coveted her property and said to Duan, "Your son is a borrowed son. He can be sent back to his clan.

汝無子，宜改適，霍氏業汝無預焉。」 You have no son. You should remarry. The Huo family property has nothing to do with you."
