永昌元年，皇孫生，璞上疏曰：有道之君未嘗不以危自持，亂世之主未嘗不以安自居。 In the first year of Yongchang, when the imperial grandson was born, Guo Pu submitted a memorial: Rulers who possess the Way have never failed to hold themselves as if in danger, and rulers of disordered ages have never failed to dwell as if secure.

今皇孫載育，天固靈基，黔首顒顒，實望惠潤。 Now the imperial grandson has been born, Heaven has secured the numinous foundation, and the black-haired people gaze upward, truly hoping for moistening grace.

陛下上承天意，下順物情，可因皇孫之慶大赦天下。 Your Majesty may above receive Heaven's intent and below follow the feelings of things by using the celebration of the imperial grandson to grant a great amnesty throughout the realm.
