唐莊宗鎮太原，每用兵征伐，必以問之，重績所言無不中，拜大理司直。 When Emperor Zhuangzong of Tang governed Taiyuan, he consulted Zhongji before every campaign; Zhongji's predictions never failed, and he was appointed directing officer of the Court of Judicial Review.
