至甯元年八月，王祦薨，嗣子未行起複。 In the eighth month of Zhining 1, King Gangjong of Goryeo died; his heir had not yet left mourning to resume official duties.

九月，宣宗即位，邊吏奏：「高麗牒稱，嗣子未起複，不可以凶服迎吉詔，又不可以草土名銜署表。」 In the ninth month, when Xuanzong ascended the throne, border officials reported, "Goryeo's dispatch states that the heir has not yet resumed official duties during mourning. He cannot receive an auspicious edict in mourning garb or sign a memorial using a mourner's title."
