穆王畏其方熾，乃分東方諸侯，命徐偃王主之。 Alarmed at their strength, King Mu parceled authority among the eastern states and put Yan of Xu at their head.

穆王後得骥騄之乘，乃使造父御以告楚，令伐徐，一日而至。 After King Mu obtained teams of Ji and Lu steeds, he had Zaofu drive to inform Chu and ordered an attack on Xu, arriving in a single day.
