烏什回賴黑木圖拉作亂，詔馳赴烏什與將軍明瑞攻之，賴黑木圖拉中矢死，眾伯克復推額色木圖拉抗我師，自三月至八月，攻城不下。 When the Ush Muslim leader Lai Heimutula rose in revolt, an edict sent A Gui posthaste to join General Mingrui; Lai Heimutula fell to an arrow, but the begs then rallied behind Esemutula to resist the Qing forces, and from the third month through the eighth month the siege would not break.

三十年二月，烏什回為亂，駐烏什副都統素誠自戕，亂回推小伯克賴黑木圖拉為渠，拒守。 In the second month of the thirtieth year the Muslims of Ush rebelled; the Vice Commander-in-Chief stationed there, Sucheng, killed himself; the rebels made the petty beg Lai Heimutula their leader and held out behind the walls.

賊夜襲我軍，我軍诇知之，預為備，射賴黑木圖拉殪，賊擁其父額色木圖拉為渠。 The rebels attacked the army by night; scouts detected them and preparations were made in advance; Lai Heimutula was shot dead, and the rebels made his father Eseimutula their leader.
