庚子，李建泰自請措餉治兵討賊，許之。 On gengzi Li Jiantai volunteered to raise funds, train troops, and campaign against the rebels; the court assented.

乙卯，幸正陽門樓，餞李建泰出師。 On yimao the emperor went to the Zhengyang Gate tower to see Li Jiantai off to the field.

辛卯，李建泰疏請南遷。 On xinmao Li Jiantai memorialized requesting removal to the south.

壬辰，召廷臣於平臺，示建泰疏，曰：「國君死社稷，朕將焉往？」 On renchen the court was summoned to the terrace platform; Jiantai's memorial was read aloud, and the emperor said: "The ruler of a state dies for the altars of soil and grain — whither shall I go?"
