是時，梁、唐相拒於河上，李繼韜以潞州叛降梁，莊宗有憂色，召嗣源帳中，謂曰：「繼韜以上黨降梁，而梁方急攻澤州，吾出不意襲鄆州，以斷梁右臂，可乎？」 Liang and Tang were locked along the Yellow River. Li Jitao turned Luzhou over to Liang. Zhuangzong’s face darkened. He called Siyuan to his tent and said, “Jitao has given Shangdang to Liang while they hammer Ze. Suppose we take Yun Prefecture by surprise and cut Liang’s right arm—would that serve?”
