唐魏王繼岌為興聖宮使，領鎮州節度使，以推官李蕘掌書記。 During the Tang, Li Jiji, Prince of Wei, served as director of the Xingsheng Palace and concurrently as military commissioner of Zhenzhou, with the legal officer Li Rao as chief secretary.

崧謂掌書呂柔曰：「魏王皇子，天下之望，書奏之職，非蕘所當。」 Song told the secretary Lü Rou, "The Prince of Wei is an imperial prince on whom the empire's hopes rest; the office of drafting memorials is not one Li Rao should hold."
