三月，閻寶敗於鎮州，以李嗣昭代之。 In the third month Yan Bao lost at Zhenzhou and Li Sizhao took his command.

四月，嗣昭戰死，以李存進代之。 In the fourth month Sizhao fell in battle and Li Cunjin replaced him.

後唐太祖置義兒軍如李嗣昭等甚眾，初皆賜姓名，而不全若子，故書李嗣源者，書其所賜姓名爾，不以子書也，與友文、從珂異。 Later Tang Taizu created an “adopted-sons army,” including many men such as Li Sizhao. They were originally granted surnames and personal names, but were not all sons in the full sense. Thus “Li Siyuan” records only the bestowed name, not a filial status, unlike Youwen and Congke.
