伍與從子零戍福寧、未幾死戍所。 Wu and his nephew Ling were posted to garrison Funing. Before long he died at the garrison.

行四十日，至福寧，見零，問夫葬地，則榛莽四塞，不可識。 She traveled forty days to Funing and saw Ling. She asked where her husband was buried, but thorns and brush blocked it on every side and it could not be recognized.

官義之，上於大府，使零護喪還，給錢使葬，仍旌門，復其役。 The officials praised her righteousness and reported to the great prefecture. Ling was sent to escort the coffin home, money was given for burial, an honorific gate was erected, and their corvée was remitted.
