壬戌，將軍王世充為李密所敗，河內通守孟善誼、武賁郎將王辯、楊威、劉長恭、梁德、董智通皆死之。 On renxu day General Wang Shichong was defeated by Li Mi; Meng Shanyi, Administrator-General of Henei, and the Brave Guard lieutenants Wang Bian, Yang Wei, Liu Changgong, Liang De, and Dong Zhitong all perished.

隋越王侗遣將劉長恭、房崱討密，又令裴仁基統兵出成臯西。 Sui Prince of Yue Yang Tong sent Generals Liu Changgong and Fang E to attack Mi, and also ordered Pei Renji to command troops out west of Chenggao.

令單雄信、徐世勣、王伯當騎為左右翼，自引麾下急擊長恭等，破之。 He ordered Shan Xiongxin, Xu Shiji, and Wang Bodang as cavalry on the left and right wings, and personally led his own troops in a swift attack on Changgong and the others, defeating them.
