重和元年二月，前發運副使柳庭俊言：「真揚楚泗、高郵運河堤岸，舊有斗門水閘等七十九座，限則水勢，常得其平，比多損壞。」 In the second month of the first year of Chonghe, former transport vice-commissioner Liu Tingjun reported: "Along the canal dikes from Zhen, Yang, Chu, and Si to Gaoyou there once stood seventy-nine sluice gates and water locks that regulated water levels and kept them balanced; many are now damaged."
