長興三年，鏻上書言：「楚王馬殷、吳越王錢鏐皆為尚書令，今皆已薨，請授臣尚書令。」 In the third year of Changxing, Lin memorialized: "King Ma Yin of Chu and King Qian Liu of Wuyue were both Directors of the Secretariat; both are now dead—please grant me that office."
