雍正六年，從湖廣總督邁柱之請，裁施州衛，設恩施縣，改歸州直隸州，原管之十五土司並隸恩施縣。 In Yongzheng 6, at the request of Governor-General Mai Zhu of Huguang, Shizhou Guard was abolished, Enshi County established, Guizhou made a directly governed department, and the fifteen native chieftains formerly under its jurisdiction placed under Enshi County.
