In the eleventh month the empress requested merit for Mingzong's salvation in the afterlife. The emperor ordered the Imperial Preceptor to lead monks in seven days of Buddhist rites at the Great Tianyuan Yansheng Temple, and Daoist masters to perform offerings at the Yuxu, Tianbao, Taiyi, and Wanshou palaces and on Mount Wudang and Mount Longhu.
