魏末，從金西征，周文帝長史莫孝暉時在行間，光馳馬射中之，因擒於陣，光時年十七。 At the end of Wei, he followed Hulü Jin on the western campaign; Yuwen Tai's chief administrator Mo Xiaohui was then in the ranks; Hulü Guang galloped forward and shot him, then captured him on the field — Guang was then seventeen.
