有壬善筆札，工辭章，歐陽玄序其文，謂其雄渾閎雋，湧如層瀾，迫而求之，則淵靚深實，蓋深許之也。 Youren was skilled in calligraphy and letters and excelled at literary composition. Ouyang Xuan prefaced his writings, calling them grand and lofty, surging like layered waves; pressed further, they proved deep, clear, and solid. He clearly thought very highly of him.
