文安乃遣監軍楊應之、鎮撫彭福壽，會東川行院兵，出小江口以牽制援兵，果與之遇，戰敗之，擒緫管李皋、花茂實等。 Wen'an sent Supervisor Yang Yingzhi and Pacification Commissioner Peng Fushou with Eastern Chuan Branch Secretariat troops out from Xiaojiangkou to pin down relief columns. They met the enemy as expected, defeated them, and captured Supervisors Li Gao, Hua Maoshi, and others.

夔守張起巖來救，遣鎮撫彭福壽迎擊，破之，盡殺其舟師，俘其將宋明。 Zhang Qiyan came to relieve the siege. Wen'an sent Pacification Commissioner Peng Fushou to intercept, routed him, destroyed his river force, and captured the general Song Ming.
