嘗從攻益都，北還，軍將彭智孫，乘間據義州叛，守忠聞之，長驅抵城下，力戰，復之。 He had taken part in the assault on Yidu. On the march north the officer Peng Zhisun seized a moment of weakness to seize Yizhou and rebel. Shouzhong rode hard to the walls, fought bitterly, and won the city back.
