遠祖清河太守第二子寅，仕後魏為太子洗馬，因為清河小房，至唐朝盛為流品。 A remote ancestor, Yin, second son of the prefect of Qinghe, served the Northern Wei as crown prince groom and founded the lesser branch of the Qinghe Cui clan, which by the Tang had become a leading family.
