祖奚之，齊晉安王諮議參軍，淮南太守，有能政，齊武帝手詔頻褒賞。 His grandfather Xi Zhi had been aide to Qi’s prince of Jin’an and administrator of Huainan, a capable magistrate whom Emperor Wu of Qi repeatedly praised in his own hand.
