孝建初，遷廷尉卿，竟陵王驃騎長史，加臨淮太守，轉吏部郎。 At the opening of Xiaojian he was moved to director of the court of justice, chief clerk to Prince of Jingling's grand marshal, with added duty as administrator of Linhuai, then transferred to director of the ministry of personnel.
