秦王擊劉黑闥，高祖詔藝弟監門將軍壽以兵從，藝自率眾數萬破劉什善、張君立於徐河。 When the Prince of Qin campaigned against Liu Heidan, Emperor Gaozu ordered Luo Yi's younger brother, gate guard general Luo Shou, to join the army. Luo Yi himself led tens of thousands of men and at the Xu River defeated Liu Shishan and Zhang Junli.

入朝，帝賜所乘馬，令自廷中乘以出，謂侍臣曰：「昔藺相如叱秦王，目眥皆烈。 He came to court. The emperor gave him the horse he himself had been riding and told him to mount in the hall and ride out before the court. He said to his ministers, "Long ago Lin Xiangru faced down the King of Qin until his eyes blazed with fury.
