景和世，山陰主就帝求吏部郎褚淵入內侍己，淵見拘逼，終不肯從，與戢同居止月餘日，由是特申情好。 In the Jinghe reign the Princess of Shanyin asked the throne to place Chu Yuan of the ministry of personnel in her inner service; Yuan felt himself cornered and refused; he shared Ji's roof for more than a month, and from that their friendship grew singularly close.
