復調吏部,九年,坐失察書吏舞弊,以告病治中趙曰濂虛選運同,降內閣學士,樾上疏置辯,議革職,加恩賜編修。 He returned to the Ministry of Personnel; in the ninth year he was demoted to grand secretary for failing to detect clerical fraud in which Zhao Yuelian of the Bureau of Transmission had falsely appointed a transport intendant while claiming illness. Yue memorialized in his defense; though dismissal was recommended, the throne showed mercy and allowed him to serve as a compiler.
