初，桑維翰為相，常惡緯為人，待之甚薄。 Earlier, when Sang Weihan was chief minister, he had always disliked Wei's character and treated him very coldly.

緯為維翰傳，言「繼翰死，有銀八千鋌。」 Wei wrote Weihan's biography, stating that "when Weihan died there were eight thousand ingots of silver."
