二十年，代邵友濂為巡撫。 In the twentieth year he replaced Shao Youlian as governor of Taiwan.

銘傳去，友濂繼之，丈地清賦，改則啟徵，迭平番亂，建基隆砲台。 When Mingchuan left, Youlian succeeded him, surveyed land and cleared tax registers, revised tax quotas and began collection, repeatedly pacified aboriginal revolts, and built the Keelung batteries.
