晉高祖即位，屢赦天下，允為《駁赦論》以獻曰：「管子曰：『凡赦者小利而大害，久而不勝其禍； When Shi Jingtang took the throne he repeatedly proclaimed general amnesties; Yun presented a "Refutation of Amnesty," saying: "Guanzi says, 'Amnesties bring small benefit and great harm; in the long run their harm cannot be overcome;

是時，晉高祖方好臣下有言，覽之大喜。 At that time Shi Jingtang welcomed outspoken ministers; he read it with great delight.

晉高祖鎮太原，辟松節度判官。 When Shi Jingtang governed Taiyuan he recruited Song as military administrator of the command.

晉高祖即位，拜右諫議大夫，累拜工部尚書。 When Shi Jingtang took the throne he appointed Song right remonstrance grand master and eventually minister of works.

晉高祖起為工部尚書，復以老告，拜右僕射致仕。 Shi Jingtang recalled him as minister of works; he again pleaded old age and was appointed right vice director of the Department of State Affairs and retired.
