士文性孤真，雖鄰里至親，莫與通狎。 Shiwen was solitary and upright by nature — even nearest kin and neighbors he would not treat familiarly.

周武帝平齊，山東衣冠多來迎，唯士文閉門自守。 When Emperor Wu of Zhou conquered Qi, the gentry of Shandong poured out to welcome the conquerors — Shiwen alone shut his gates and held himself apart.
