世祖入主中夏，仍明舊制，凡訴訟在外由州縣層遞至於督撫，在內歸總於三法司。 After the Shizu took possession of China proper, he retained the Ming framework: lawsuits in the provinces ascended step by step from county and prefecture to the governor-general or governor, while capital cases were consolidated in the Three Judicial Offices.
