宣帝崩，始興王叔陵為亂，後主賴后與吳媼救而獲免。 When Emperor Xuan died Shuling, prince of Shixing, raised a rebellion; the last ruler was saved by the empress and an old woman of Wu and thereby escaped harm.

其誅叔陵，供大行喪事，邊境防守及百司眾務，雖假後主之敕，實皆決之於后。 In executing Shuling, supplying the grand mourning observances, defending the borders, and managing the myriad affairs of the hundred offices, though orders went out in the last ruler's name, in truth all were decided by the empress.
