權欲廢和立亮，無難督陳正、五營督陳象上書，稱引晉獻公殺申生，立奚齊，晉國擾亂，又據、晃固諫不止。 When Sun Quan meant to depose Sun He for Sun Liang, colonels Chen Zheng and Chen Xiang cited Duke Xian of Jin, who killed Shen Sheng to install Xi Qi and threw the state into chaos; Zhu Ju and Qu Huang still would not let the matter drop.

〈《吳歷》曰：晃入，口諫曰：「太子仁明，顯聞四海。〈The Wu li says Qu Huang entered and cried, "The crown prince is humane and wise, known throughout the realm.

今三方鼎跱，實不宜搖動太子，以生衆心。 The three kingdoms stand like a tripod; you must not unsettle the heir and sow doubt among the people.

竟徙和於故鄣，羣司坐諫誅放者十數。 Sun He was banished to Guchang, and a dozen or more officials who had pleaded for him were killed or exiled.

〈《吳書》曰：權寢疾，意頗感寤，欲徵和還立之，全公主及孫峻、孫弘等固爭之，乃止。〉〈The Wu shu says that when Sun Quan fell ill he nearly recalled Sun He as heir, but the Princess of Quan and Sun Jun and Sun Hong blocked it.〉

太元二年252年正月，封和爲南陽王，遣之長沙。 In the first month of 252 (the second year of Taiyuan), Sun He was made Prince of Nanyang and sent to Changsha.

《吳書》曰：和之長沙，行過蕪湖，有鵲巢于帆檣，故官寮聞之皆憂慘，以爲檣末傾危，非乆安之象。 The Wu shu says that on the way to Changsha Sun He passed Wuhu, where a magpie nested on the sail mast. His former retainers were all distressed, taking it as a sign that the mast's tip was tipping and not an omen of lasting peace.

或言鵲巢之詩有「積行累功以致爵位」之言，今王至德茂行，復受國土，儻神靈以此告寤人意乎？ Some said the Ode of the Magpie's Nest speaks of "accumulated conduct and accumulated merit to attain rank and position"; now the prince's supreme virtue and abundant conduct have again received a state—might the spirits be using this to awaken people's hearts?

恪即和妃張之舅也。 Zhuge Ke was the maternal uncle of Sun He's consort, Lady Zhang.

又恪有徙都意，使治武昌宮，民間或言欲迎和。 Zhuge Ke also intended to move the capital and had the Wuchang palace repaired; among the people some said he meant to welcome Sun He back.

及恪被誅，孫峻因此奪和璽綬，徙新都，又遣使者賜死。 When Zhuge Ke was executed, Sun Jun used the occasion to seize Sun He's seal and ribbon, transfer him to Xindu, and send an envoy to order his death.

和與妃張辭別，張曰：「吉凶當相隨，終不獨生活也。」 Sun He took leave of Consort Zhang; she said, "Fortune and misfortune should go together—I will never live on alone."
