是時，楊行密、孫儒爭淮南，與镠戰蘇、常間。 At this time Yang Xingmi and Sun Ru were fighting over Huainan and clashed with Qian Liu in the Suzhou–Changzhou region.

久之，儒為行密所殺，行密據淮南，取潤州，镠亦取蘇、常。 In time Sun Ru was killed by Yang Xingmi. Yang Xingmi secured Huainan and took Runzhou; Qian Liu recovered Suzhou and Changzhou.
